Nyholm Cantrell, or Ned Cantrell, works primarily in glass explaining that he gets "great pleasure from blowing glass...It is a treasure beyond comparison..." Finding joy in the liquid movements of glass, Cantrell expands upon that joy through creating unexpected and contrasting items using "ancient & modern, high culture & mass culture, fluidity & plasticity, function & impotence, beauty & banality."
